Traffic Rules
These tips are compiled to clearly state the important traffic rules in Delhi. Keep these regulations in mind for comfortable travel on Delhi roads. If you decide to drive yourselves in Delhi, these traffic tips will come handy.

Keep Left on a two-way road to allow traffic from the opposing directions. Let the traffic on your right pass through your right side.
On a one-way road allow the vehicles behind you to overtake from your right.
Slow Down at street intersections, meeting points, pedestrian crossings and street corners. Wait until one can be sure of a clear passage ahead.
If you are entering a main road where traffic is not being regulated, give way to vehicles passing on your right.
Learn some basic hand signals since hand signals are necessary at certain times.
It is better to use both direction signals in your vehicle and hand signals in case of an emergency.
Wearing a helmet for two wheeler drivers is a statutory requirement. The full-face helmet should have a thick stuffing of thermocole, at least 20 mm thick, which extends to the both sides of the head.
The registration mark and number of the vehicle should be clear, legible and visible at all times.
Do not park at the entrance of a hospital, school and pedestrian crossing or on the white line on the middle of road or when a fire hydrant is eclipsed by the vehicle. It likely to be towed away.
Use the horn only when essential and do not use it in a silence zone. Vehicles with altered silencers are also prohibited on the roads.
Do not carry goods that are explosive, inflammable or is a dangerous substance on a public service vehicle.

Carry only one pillion rider on your two-wheeler.

Do not drive on the road if you are unwell or after taking medication that is likely to impair your driving abilities.
Always drink filtered or bottled water. Nowadays branded water like Kinley, Aquafina and Bisleri is easily available.
